简介
Crafting a unique sound from a wide range of influences, Latitude 45° has an original edge that’s often missing from today’s metal. It’s “free range” because there’s nothing artificial added. No gimmicks or fillers. Just pure metal that knows its roots coming out of Manhattan, Montana. From the Bonham-inspired beat of Hunter Gordon’s drums and the Steve Harris-meets-Tim Commerford bass stylings of Chance Harmon to the twin guitar attack of Garrett Larrabaster and Mike De Jong (think Adrian Smith meets a combination of Tom Morello and Dave Mustaine) there’s an immediate sense of something great happening. Like Mustaine, Mike De Jong splits his time between shredding and singing, bringing a dark tone to contemporary lyrics. Full of top-notch musicianship, complex time and tempo changes, and deep, haunting vocals, Latitude 45°’s original music is a treat for metal fans with tastes ranging from Iron Maiden and Megadeth to Tool and Red Fang or Avenged Sevenfold. Their ability to perform outstanding covers ranging from the Doors and Pink Floyd to Rage Against the Machine and Metallica will keep other audiences moving. Latitude 45° has played shows ranging from private parties to two turns as a supporting act at Montana’s biggest rock festival, Rockin’ the Rivers (2010 and 2012). They were also named Montana’s top metal act (Best Metal Band) at the 2013 Zoo Music Awards in Missoula, MT, and were selected to play at the 2014 award ceremony.
