The title of the first track, "Q'ararenqa" is a word originating from Quechua indigenous language, spoken in Latin American countries sharing the Andes mountainrange, and whose meaning stands for a black bird with a white tail. When it starts singing near you, beware!... You might be nearing difficult times. I got the inspiration for this piece from the economical immigrants from poor Latin American countries who moved to Spain a few years back in times of economical expansion, and who are now returning home empty-handed, forced by circumstances. The idea for the second track and its lyrics , "If you're not at their table", was on my mind already for quite a while, due to all economic turmoil many of us are subject of lately. But it really took shape with the news of the Bilderberg Group, whose members are to be found among the really powerful: presidents, bankers, CEO's, royals, oil barons, etc. They were holding their recurrent secretive summit this time on the Spanish Costa Brava. I speculated on the basis that there is much more to it than their officiallly declared need for discussion, exchange of ideas and views, brainstorming and analysis.
