JUDY WELDEN BIO An artist/songwriter and music publisher, Judy Welden has been writing and releasing songs worldwide since 1992. She toured 7 European countries in '98 and was on the charts with major singers. She's released over 100 songs as single releases. Most all have appeared on Independent charts with several dozen reaching #1. Fourteen (14) artists have recorded thirty two (32) of Judy's original (or co-written) songs. Writing in most every style, except metal and hip hop, she has even written two rap songs! Judy has released 7 albums of her original music, 2 of which are Christian CDs, and the others are Country/AC Pop/Blues, crossover songs. In addition she produced 19 compilation CDs (Country, AC Pop and Gospel) with herself and over 100 other artists during a period of 6 years (1993 to 1999). She started the Treasure Coast Songwriters Assn. when she lived in Florida. Now residing in GA, Judy is a member of Swarthmore Who's Who Worldwide, Marquis Who's Who in Music, is a regular guest on Women's Radio Network (now parntered wth "I ♥ Radio") who in March 2015 named Judy "Diamond of the Decade" because of all she's accomplished during her career such as helping so many others receive international success, writing up & procuring a patent on her own without an Atty, etc. She continues to release her original music regularly WILDHORSE Country Discovery worldwide radio releases, ON THE VINE Records, and other compilations to worldwide radio, both Am-Fm stations as well as internet stations. Many exciting things have happened with Judy's music career in recent years, which she wishes would have happened 20 years ago when she was more interested in traveling, etc. In one case, a well-known company having heard her then current single (in it's 3rd release) wanted her to fly to Nashville to perform "I'M PAIN SHY" for music executives. Another time a touring company heard her gospel song, "GUIDE MY HEART, and wanted her to go on their upcoming, world-wide XTreme Tour. They requested this a second time, which Judy again had to turn down, due to issues with her breathing. Judy & Rhonnie Scheuerman co-wrote "LET'S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" in late 2011, which went to #5 on Airplay Direct's TOP 50 Global Chart. Because the lyrics were so suitable for the Nov. '12 Presidential election, giving hope & suggesting a solution to the many problems we face in the US, it was released again in Oct., 2012. Also co-written with Rhonnie Scheuerman, Judy's "YOUR HAND PRINT ON MY HEART" (released to worldwide radio in Feb. 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 as a Valentine's Day radio release) was heard in early 2012 by a 3 time Grammy-winning producer who said if he could do a final mastering on it, he'd nominate it for a Grammy. Judy agreed, not knowing he was very ill with cancer. She had professional CDs made up at the TX replacating company he'd referred but before he'd had a chance to send the CD & paperwork to the Grammy team, it was necessary for him to go into Hospice. Sadly, he died several weeks before the deadline date for submissions! Whereas Judy Welden may never get that close to a Grammy nomination again, she is happy to know that someone with the talent & experience of Phil York thought her song had enough potential to be nominated. Here are a few of Judy's awards & recognition in the past several years: She was chosen as ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2012 by GCR (Great Country Radio) in Dec, 2012; SUPERSTAR SONGWRITER HALL OF FAME by WHISNEWS21 in August 2013; FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR & HALL OF FAME 2013 by GCR (Great Country Radio); ATLANTA COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME (ACMHF) in November 2014. Judy will be promoted by Clay Country Radio, with inclusion in their Awards Show in the fall of 2015. She is excited to have been #1 Singer/Songwriter at Revernation.com on numerous occasions, starting in mid June 2013. Stay tuned for updates in Judy's career. Ke sera sera!
