Folk rock emo pop artist Elias Krell is a singer, actor, writer, academic, and performer who travels internationally by air and land when he can afford it (thank you, Canada) and is living currently in Toronto, ON. He writes music and performs with various guest artists including Jenny Urban, Madsen Minax (of Actor Slash Model), Kadji Amin (of Humble Tripe), and others. He is also in the band The Homoticons. Elias started writing songs when he was 27, inspired by a cataclysmic Saturn's return & a move to the city of Chicago, IL. Before that he sang opera professionally for 3 years. Since moving to Chicago in 2008 he's formed two bands, "Elias Krell" with Jenny Urban, Kadji Amin and Andrew Brown, and "The Homoticons" with Madsen Minax, Jesse Alexander, and Colin Palombi. He tours with both bands, writes songs that are rooted in voice, guitar, and accordion, and is learning the ukelele.
