This album is a collaboration between Gilberto Torres (flute) and Victor Cegarra (piano and keys) to rescue and interpret some of the most popular Venezuelan tunes in an instrumental album incorporating elements of Jazz, latin and classical styles. Brief artists info: Victor Cegarra: Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Now resident of So. California. Music studies in Caracas for Jazz and Clasical Music from national conservatories and private instructors. Moved to Austin, Texas in 1982 and later moved to the greater L.A. area in 1986 and stayed there since. Also Bachelor\'s Degree in Piano Music Performance with concentration in Jazz Studies from Cal. St. Univ. at L.A. Have performed in about any setting: Concerts, clubs, master class/demonstrator, recording artist, sidemen for artists like Bobby Matos, Candy Sosa, Opa-Opa, Costa Azul, Los Grecos, Dave Pike, Tito Puente, Sandra, Eliseo Borrero, Jeff Benedict, Tom Huzak, Corrine Cruz, Rudy Regalado, Robert Incelli, Poncho Sanchez, Bobby Redfield, Vicentico Valdez, Orquesta Shati, and many others. Gilberto Torres also born and raised in Caracas Venezuela and resides in So. California. He has extensive estudies as a musician from National Conservatories of Music in Caracas, Venezuela, being a member of the National Youth Symphony Orchestra in Venezuela but with additional music studies in Cologne, Germany, and in Los Angeles at Cal. St. Univ. at Long Beach. Also performed extensively in South America, the Caribbean, Europe and North America with countless artist and in all working situations.
