Lee grew up singing, creating and submerged in the world of musical theater. Starting out at a young age in the church choir, moving onto Elementary school productions and high school performances, eventually graduating to community theater and then into the professional world, Lee's love for music grows stronger on a daily basis. A Canadian & American Actors Equity Union member. - Lee has an extensive resume of acting, singing, writing, directing and composing credits, including: Starring as Jean ValJean, in LES MISERABLES, Judas in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Old Deuteronomy in CATS, John in MISS SAIGON. Featured Roles in: The Canadian Premiere Cast production/tour of DREAMGIRLS. SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, GREASE, MAN of LA MANCHA, WEST SIDE STORY, FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE, SEUSSICAL.... to name just a few. As of May 2013, Lee began production on the new revival of The Who's TOMMY (directed by Des McAnuff), as The Hawker. Lee is highly influenced by an eclectic group of artists such as; Billy Joel, Elton John, Michael Buble, Jann Arden, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, Smokey Robinson, The Barenaked Ladies, Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Sondheim, David Foster, Nat King Cole, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Lou Rawls, George Benson, Luther Vandross. AND THE ENTIRE Doo-Wop & Motown era. In his spare time, when not performing, Lee is can be found writing and composing works of his own, including a few musical theatre productions. WHERE'S THE ORCHESTRA - Marks Lee Siegel's Debut album. - Collaborating with Pianist and Producer: Konrad Pluta. - Lee selected a number of songs that are highlights to his career in show business, but also tell a story of love and relationships. -- For instance: "Tomorrow" from the musical "Annie" was the first song Lee ever sang as a child, the rendition he learned back then was on an ol Lou Rawls album. -- Upon making his Broadway debut, Lee learned, that the Neil Simon Theatre, (where Jesus Christ Superstar was opening) was also the home of the Original production of "Annie" which opened on that stage in the 1970's. -- Making things even more exciting, a Broadway revival of "Annie" hit New York in the 2012 season... and Lee was in attendance when it opened. - Sometimes things go full circle.
