Melt Into You was conceived as an album of celebration, renewal and reflection. The 14 songs present the world through fresh eyes, old pains and new love. Many of the songs came about in a period of great joy and sadness in my life as one chapter finished and a new one began. Figuring out what was up and what was down became more important in the songs and the songs became more important in my understanding of who I was, where I’d been and where I was going. As usual the band followed where I led and the love and humor that we share has produced an album that we are very proud of. In the time it took to write and record this album the band has been affected by the shadow of sickness, the beauty of new love and the joy of new life, and I really think that this is reflected in the music. Thanks for staying on the journey with us, thanks for taking the time to listen to our music and I hope that there is someone out there for you to melt into.
