Gathaspar is polish based producer and together with berlin based MRI they present their collaborative ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION project. Drawing on shared influences such as the moods of dub and the more cutting-edge sound of innovative reduced techno like for instance Wolfgang Voigts Sturm project, Force Incs Yagya, the finland's Sahko label, early windsor Hawtin sound and Basic Channel, the duo have conceived an album of emotional depth and exquisite detail, appropriating the best influence of these pioneers and reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens to achieve a perfect balance of style and content. Rolling in on complex rhythm patterns waves of cold pads, the languid tones of "AR" pulses and swirls with ominous landscapes and broken architecture that MRI constructs and deconstructs in arrangement so effectively with Gathaspars rhythm and percussion underneath.
