Lead by the manic vocals of TK, saturated with the blistering guitar work of Pat Brennan and Julian Jacobson, and held together by the rhythm section of Chris Kelly on bass and Scott Tofte on drums, "My Beautiful Unknown" is a gut-punch of a record that will have you begging for more. Drawing on a wide variety of influences (The Cure, The Police, David Bowie, and Foo Fighters to name but a few) and bringing years of NYC session and sideman experience together, Pavelle has crafted an album that is high-energy, hook-oriented, and anthemic. The five member, New York City, rock and roll band formed in the summer of 2013 on the lower east side of Manhattan when a series of informal sessions at the Rivington Rehearsal Studios quickly evolved into a magnetic band collaboration. Pavelle is hard edged rock and roll that fuses a visceral blend of punk, indy-pop, and shoegaze influences. The music is urban American, high energy and unapologetically irreverent.
