简介

A L 101 consists of Original songs by Stormm, recorded at Toronto's legendary Cameron House, before a Live audience. The opening track Lonliness, beautifully describes the plight of the homeless and disillusioned urban dweller. The album's sole solo performance reveals Stormm as angst ridden singer-songwriter guitarist. Once again he's accompanied by the SkyJuice Brothers : Dave "Soulfingaz" Williams on Keys & Vocals, Tom Mckay on Bass and Guitar, Leh-lo on Drums, Roger Williams on Bass. Secrets & Lies 2 Backed by some Bad Motherf*ckers, Stormm sweetly lays down solid rhythm Guitar, while singing about Love Gone Bad, Modern Dwellings and the Fear Of Strangers. Listen as he introduces each member clearly in awe of their spontaneously culminating sound. Experience the futuristic blues of "We Just Wanna F*ck", a series of incidents celebrating Guilt Free Lust, Passionate Sex, and One Night Stands. "Don't know your name, don't know your age. Can't guess your sign, can't tell your race..." Walking melodic Basslines, Honky Tonk Piano fills, drums that swing and flirt with time simultaneously. There are 2 Duets with bassist Roger Williams: The slow fast Ska Ballad of "Help Me Help Myself," and the inspirational campfire magic of I Believe 2 . 4 tracks feature Stormm on Electric Piano while Singing: The Hip Hop meets Jazz "Don't Mess With A Silly Ho", displays Stormm's piano chops and old school rap storytelling skills, one can't help but admire his ability to remain focus while the band members and audience crack up as they gradually realize the lyrics to the chorus. Favorite line "Don't make me laugh y'all..." 2 different versions of "God Is Everywhere", obviously the band's favorite and most requested song. Featuring Soulfingaz on backing vocals and the albums only cameo Chris "JJ" on Guitar for God Is Everywhere 3. Once again, the main host is Leh-lo but during a rare moment Soulfingaz displays his comedic M.C. skills, as Stormm accompanies with augmented, suspended, and open-ended jazz voicings reminiscent of Thelonious Monk, on the aptly titled "Jimi Hendrix Met Scott Joplin". Soulfingaz coins the title to this instrumental number, clearly moved by Stormm's unique chord progression and colourful polytonal landscapes. The Album climaxes with "Ave Maria 3", the only track where Stormm is not playing while singing. After all, he's backed up by an amazingly rocking 4 piece band. The comaraderie and mutual respect for each other, among the Sky Juice Brothers, is ever apparent. "It's a celebration b**ches!" This is an album for lovers of live music and musicianship, it displays the magic that occurs on stage in an unrehearsed setting by masters of their craft...
