简介
Energetic, Charismatic and Entertaining!! Some of the many words that describe Kimberly Smoak - a Country, Country Rock, Christian Country & Patriotic Songwriter & Entertainer. She is also a Combat Veteran, Community Volunteer, Pool / Billiards Player, Wife, Mother & Friend. Growing up, every Sunday, she was glued to the old time dial radio for the Casey Kasum American Top 40 Countdown. “That literally was the highlight of my week growing up in a small town and having musical ambitions. I remember Casey would always say at the end of each countdown “Keep Your Feet On The Ground & Keep Reaching For The Stars”. And that’s basically how I manage my life and my Songwriting Career” she says with a smile. She’s more than just music tho! Kimberly has plenty of other projects and activities in her life that make it more colorful. Such as, Studio Operations Manager of McCready Recording Studio – owned by Doc & Rich McCready. She’s owns & operates a NAPA Pool League - SWMO NAPA of Newton. And, Kimberly gets involved in Community activities that benefit Veterans. Kimberly had recently taken some time off from writing to learn more about the craft, get married to Mark Copeland, run a NAPA Pool League and watch her only son Jake Smoak, graduate from US Army Reserve Basic Training. “I needed the time off to build a solid foundation for my life. I wanted and needed that stability in the topsy, turvey swings of the music business” she says. She has recently started back up writing and is experimenting with Contemporary Christian & staying close to her Country roots in writing. Kimberly has a project in the works with Doc McCready, Kim Ehm & Deby Kelley. She is also co – coordinating with Rich McCready to do Songwriters Workshops in & around Missouri. Kimberly has written, co-produced and recorded 4 CD's ~ "The Power of Ten", 2010 "Smoak'N" 2012 and "Honoring Those Who Serve" 2012 with Rich McCready. As a combat veteran of the Gulf War this CD is very close to her heart. She just released her NEW CD "Cowgirl Rockabye's" digitally on April 24, 2017. A collaboration of 4 Engineers, 2 Studios, 8 Musicians, 3 Harmony Singers, 1 Co-Writer, 10 Veterans and a Lil Ole Songwriter from Oklahoma. She has performed all over the United States Australia, Germany and Nashville, TN @ The Bluebird Café; among other infamous venues. She performs at a variety of veteran’s events & charity functions throughout the year. In 2016 she was nominated for Female Songwriter of the Year in the Country Music Category at The Josie Music Awards.
