Jonathan "K.I.N.G" Lawes is an independent rapper, singer and producer from the small town of Cambridge in Onatrio, Canada. In compliance to being raised by a father and mother who played R&B, Jazz and Reggae records constantly throughout the house, K.I.N.G was influenced by a variety of musical forms from a young age. He began singing and taking music lessons at the age of six and from then has learned six different instruments, while mastering instrumental production. His abstract yet smooth and soulful debut album “A$CEN$ION” released July 25th on Datpiff & SoundCloud, following a music video for the self-produced single “Big Brass” which released July 16th on Youtube. His second project "38" is set to release in January. "K.I.N.G" is a self-sufficient artist with talent and personality impossible to fit in a box.
