Pono's R Mutt 2017 is a culmination of recordings from over the course of seven years. Several tracks were recorded at Take Root Studios in San Francisco. In usual Pono fashion most of the other tracks were recorded at people's houses or in strange places. Pono creates sonic musical collages that still remain fairly pop. Pono's catalog is wildly eclectic and R Mutt 2017 is no exception.
