Jonathan Starkey is a piano virtuoso and composer trained by Russian conservatoire tutor Ryszard Bakst who was trained by Heinrich Neuhaus (teacher of Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels amongst other greats). He chose the world of broadcast instead of the concert platform and hasn't regretted the decision.

Jonathan moves effortlessly through different forms and styles and his recordings are in great demand and utilised in the broadcast industries of 54 countries. His music, like his playing, is always noted for its melodic and lyrical nature.
