Under the leadership of Brooklyn-based Songwriter, Singer and Trumpet player, Adam Levine, Mappa Mundi formed in 2008 to play original Chamber Pop compositions. Rooted equally in rock, pop, baroque, minimalism, and romanticism, Mappa Mundi has become a unique part of New York’s multifaceted rock scene. Their new EP, "And in this Way We Come Unmoored…", was recorded and produced at Motherwest Studios with Charles Newman (The Magnetic Fields). Influenced equally by Radiohead, and The Decemberists, as well as John Adams, and Phillip Glass, Mappa Mundi's singular sound is at once Old World and New.
