简介
"Dead Man Walking" is the first single off of artist Mike Squillante's upcoming new release. It was written in the summer of 2012 by Mike, who drew inspiration for the theme from personal experience. The song incorporates a slinky burlesque swing in the verses, establishing a sort of "dirty" vibe at the outset. It slams into the chorus with a walking baseline worthy of Paul McCartney underneath a catchy lyric, followed by the irresistible hook. The song was recorded at Sear Sound in New York City, engineered by Ted Paduck and produced by Mike Squillante and Adrien Godat. Miles Nasta played drums, Owen Danoff played bass, Ben Alleman played keyboards/piano, and Mike and Adrien played all guitars. Nine other originals were recorded during these sessions and are set for release this winter. The track was mixed by Mike Squillante, Nick Squillante, and Jeff Garthenbaum. Jeff did the mastering as well.
