简介
Finally, Wehrle finishes their long-awaited LP, Things We Didn’t Drop. In the tradition of The Beatles and They Might be Giants, Chicago-based Wehrle features two singers, Matthew Gaspar and Rich Roche. Roche’s style ranges from maniacal to vulnerable while Gaspar wavers from romantic to indifferent, both singing with an acerbic tongue. Vividly talented bassist Dan Priestly carries the unassailable foundation, while ferociously dexterous drummer Ron Kurek flourishes with intensity. Wehrle’s music gets to the point; it’s intelligent without pretense, and accessible without insult. With Things We Didn’t Drop, Wehrle manages to introduce fresh variations on familiar themes, namely love and introspection, while infusing a raw aggression and eerie atmosphere. Wehrle is proud to have worked with Tim Rusin at JBTV studios who proficiently mixed, mastered and engineered the album.
