简介

Timeless Rockabilly soul crafted with the punch of real rock n roll. Gamblers Mark is that and more. Hailing from the foothills of Southern California, Gamblers Mark has emerged in a scene desperate for revival. Fronted by guitarist and lead vocalist Dave Gambler, Dave’s little brother Danny Exito on upright bass and Ricky Lobo on drums, these guys are invading the local scene with their contagious riffs and unmistakable sound. Following the success of their first release “The Last Chance Saloon”. Gamblers Mark is currently working on collaborations with Viernes 13 and other local bands spawning an array of genres. The guys have been studio bound the last months preparing for work on their second full length production including the release of some behind the scenes tour footage. The Cho Incident is slated for a Spring 2013 release. It all started in 2004 when honoring their grandfathers’ legacy became the driving the force behind naming their band Gamblers Mark. David and Danny grew up on steady diet of rockabilly, rock n roll, ska and surf to name a few. They called on Ricky Salazar to join in and create an eclectic sound harnessing many influences but rooted deeply in the Rockabilly/Neo-Rockabilly Tradition as well as the rev‘d up Psychobilly sound. Their influences included the Johnny Brunette Trio, Chuck Berry, the Sun Records artists, as well as artists from the rockabilly revival/Neo Rockabilly likes of The Sharks, The Nitros and Frantic Flintstones. The explosion of social networks like My Space and Facebook propelled Gamblers Mark into the emerging local scene. Their fans took a liking to them and soon these guys were bringing down the house in land mark venues like The House of Blues Sunset Strip, Hollywood Key Club and The Knitting Factory. The guys have also shared the stage with both emerging and established acts. In 2007, Xenon Pictures discovered the great sound of Gamblers Mark and invited then to collaborate on music for the National Lampoons: TV The Movie featuring members of the cast of MTV’s Jackass. This exposure pressured the release of their first full length production titled “The Last Chance Saloon”. The album release party played out to a sold out crowd at the House of Blues in Hollywood, CA. The release coincided with vocalist Dave Gambler’s nationally broadcasted tattoo appointment on TLC’s LA INK. David’s episode was seen around the world and soon the Gamblers Mark fan base had international members. All this acclaim gained Gamblers Mark endorsements and sponsorships from local culture labels Lucky 13, and Nature‘s Mistake.
