简介
Ron Smith (check RonaldLSmith.com) always had a love of novelty and comedy records. He wrote "Comedy on Record" and the "Goldmine Comedy Record Price Guide," in addition to pop culture classics like "Sweethearts of 60's TV" and "Stooge Fan's I.Q.Test." What he learned from interviewing and writing about Brother Theodore, Tom Lehrer, Allan Sherman, Homer & Jethro, Mort Sahl and others...as well as interviewing quirky musicians and top rockers ranging from Billy Joel and Tim Curry to Martin Briley and Andy Pratt, has led to this oddball album of originals. "An American Singer-Songwriter Werewolf" even includes Ron's tribute/impressions of James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Warren Zevon. Some of these songs may earn a place on your play list next to Weird Al or Ron Nagle or other loose cannons. Some of it is certainly, as Ron's musician friend Bobby Cole would put it, "unique," and definitive of the unusual and talented Mr. Smith.
