简介
‘The Storm’ is my third CD produced with a jazz / pop musical style. Having been a performing musician for over 40 years and playing the “top 10” hits from several decades, a pop and rock style is a natural. But over the years I developed a love for smooth jazz, listening to George Benson, Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Ron Cooley, and a number of other great jazz guitarists. Then a handful of years ago I started recording my own instrumental versions of pop and rock songs – something I did just for fun. Next came my attempt to add some jazzy flare to these songs by tossing in some guitar-driven improvisation. In 2007, I decided to record an instrumental Christmas CD using this jazz / pop genre. Thus came ‘Jazzed About Christmas!’, a CD that has received considerable nationwide radio airplay during the past couple of holiday seasons. A year later came my CD, ‘And the Day Begins’, where I used some smooth jazz cover songs and my first original compositions. One of my compositions from this CD, “Mood Swing”, was played by the Weather Channel during their ‘Local on the 8s’ segments in the month of January 2009. This, along with other radio airplay of songs from the CD, helped legitimize my composing and playing style. All said, I hope you like what you hear on ‘The Storm’. Also, please check out my other CDs. Thanks!
