Faulkner's ghost, scorching summer days and shadows... that summer day when i saw the ghost of psychedelia. * * * * * * * * * * * COLOR FILTER started as a unit led by Tsuneyoshi Ryuji, debuting in the United States and subsequently releasing numerous works primarily focused on overseas audiences. The Flaming Lips highly praised their sound as an embodiment of their own psychedelia. In 2002, they performed at SXSW. Their sound can be described as mellow psychedelia encompassing ambient, shoegazer, breakbeats, and techno elements, and it secretly anticipated genres like "Dream Pop," which has now gained recognition. This unique presence was ahead of its time here in Tokyo. Once again, in 2023, their sound deserves to be "rediscovered." They are making a fresh start with new vocalist MINAMI TAGA.
