Born and raised in Puna on the island of Hawai’i, Sean Robbins is an up-and-coming Hawaiian artist. He is best known for his ki ho‘alu (slack-key) and falsetto. He is also a haku mele (songwriter) as he shows with his debut single "Ka Lehua".

At 11 years old, Sean learned in the old way- Nānā ka maka, hoʻolohe ka pepeiau, hana ka lima. Watch, listen and just do it. Being from Puna, he was greatly inspired by the Keli‘ihoʻomalu ‘ohana of Kalapana. Sean is now studying under his mentor, slack-key master, Cyril Pahinui and is recording his debut album, which features mostly original compositions and a mix of kī hōʻalu and falsetto (set to release this June!)

In 2010, Sean had the honor of performing on National Public Radio’s “From the Top” and was also granted the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award.” He was also given a certificate of recognition from the Hawaiʻi State Senate as well as the Hawaii County Council for his musical accomplishments. Along with his music career, Sean studies Hawaiian language at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.
