简介
This first official release by veteran songwriter Marty Thompson has been long anticipated. It is an eclectic track list where Marty himself plays all instruments on the album except drums makes for a jamming country-rock sound. The newly written single, and title track, "If You Could See Me Now," is catchy southern pop with a grungy twist, and echoes of Widespread Panic, Grateful Dead, and Neil Young can be heard throughout, notably on midtempo jams like "Einstein's Hope," "Risin' Up," and the album's second single "True Americans." "You can fill the holes in the road but not the ones in my mind," Thompson insists on the latter. This debut album "If You Can See Me Now" is a steamroller, paving the way for much more to come.
