Dave and Julie started singing together in 1971, mainly in and around North East Lincolnshire. Dave's father John Evardson (1921 - 1993) had worked as a trawler fitter on Grimsby docks and recounted numerous stories relating to the town's once great fishing industry. Dave turned many of his Dad's anecdotes into songs, which he and Julie added to their repertoire of mainly folk-based material, and alongside these they added several musical homages to their home county.

Forty years on, Dave and Julie retired from performing in 2012, but decided to keep their music alive by making their albums available to download from the internet. Their pastimes now include gardening, novel writing, dog walking and travelling. They're pleased to publish this collection of songs about Lincolnshire, principally for the benefit of St Andrew's Hospice in Grimsby.
