简介
Marié was born in Mexico city. She was always close to music, as well as other arts. She studied music with several teachers but nothing formal until she was accepted at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA. She is an independent musician whose first project was released in October 2007. She worked for a year and a half on this material, trying to keep and respect the nature of every song, from the point of being just an idea or feeling, to materializing it in music. It was such a strong and honest emotional effort. Part of the work for the album was done in Mexico city and the rest was finished, recorded and produced in Boston, MA., by the musician, producer and songwriter Michael Moushon. ABOUT HER SONGS… You will find lyrics on the album that were written since MariÉ was 16 years old. All of the songs reflect a scene of her life in a very graphical way. The album has 8 tracks where rock, pop, electronic ambient, jazz harmony and MariÉ’s own voice samples are used. The songs talk about a variety of themes and feelings, from instrospective and intimate lyrics to the liberation of them in the song “Destello”. Song 8 has the performance of the respected upright bass player Esperanza Spalding, who has shared the stage with famous jazz musicians such as Herbie Hancock, among others.
