Animal Eyes is a group of five friends who all grew up playing music together in different bands from rural Alaskan towns. Since 2011, the band has been based out of Portland, OR, where they recorded their first full length album ‘Found in the Forest (2011) and released their five song EP ‘Ursus’ in November 2013. On July 9th, 2015, they released their newest single, ‘Mushroom Hunter’, the first track released from their full length album Where We Go, due for release in spring of 2016.

‘Mushroom Hunter’ shows the band going in a more psychedelic direction, but their tendencies towards off-kilter yet danceable grooves, somewhat twisted pop song structures, and layers of vocal melodies, reminiscent of The Dirty Projectors or Animal Collective, are still present and in full display.
