简介
Chris McLeod is one of the most talented up and coming songwriters today. His fresh, innovative sound is sure to captivate his listening audience every time he plays. His songs have the unique merge of influence from Elliott Smith, Death Cab for Cutie, John Mayer, Sufjan Stevens, Counting Crows, and U2. In 2005, Chris released his first full-length album, “Alone and Alive.” Each of the 10 songs are written and co-produced by Chris. “Alone and Alive” was mixed, mastered, and co-produced by Matt Ruckel (Adam Cates, Sean Feucht). The songs on this record have an intimate texture that is evident in Chris’ live show, as well as a more hard hitting, alternative sound on certain tracks due to backing instrumentation (including members of Edison Glass, EMI). Highlights of this album include the infectious love tune, “Discover” (as heard on MTV’s Engaged & Underage, 2007), the first single “Not So Far” (featuring Josh Morin of Edison Glass), as well as the epic, eight minute “Magdalene,” which ends the album. Chris’ second full-length album, “Television Dreams” was released in December of 2008. This self-produced album is more intimate and more mature than anything Chris has done to date. On this release, he blends acoustic folk with elements of electronic. Layers upon layers of guitars, banjos, and vocals accompany thoughtful and meaningful lyrics. Chris has shared the stage with such acts as: Edison Glass (Credential Recordings, EMI CMG) Andy Zipf (Produced by James Barber) Sherwood (Sidecho Records) Melee (Warner Brother’s) Soular (Astonish Records) Chris has indipendantly booked two US tours. One in the summer of 2005, and another in the winter of 2007.
