Jazz bassist and composer Tyler Williams will present "Hear Me Now," a new recording and concert from Elephant Rug, L.L.C. This album features Tyler Williams on bass, Dirk K on guitar and Grammy award winning drummer Peter Erskine on drums. Tyler has performed and or recorded with several artists including: Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavorotti, Beatlemania, Walt Weiskopf, Ken Peplowski, Tommy Deering, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Keith Thompson, Rick Faugno, Frankie Moreno and Bob Rozario. He has also played in musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof, Avenue Q, Spamalot and currently plays bass for the show Le Rêve at the Wynn hotel. As a composer, his works have been performed in Sweden, the United Kingdom and throughout the Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) and Nevada. In 2001, the Grammy Award winning Green Valley H.S. performed and recorded his "Nocturnal Suite." Tyler holds a Bachelors of Music from the University of Idaho and a Masters of Music from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dirk K, originally from Germany, studied at the Musikhochschule Koeln. He refined his studies at GIT/Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California and at Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. He is an accomplished guitarist with over 14 albums as a recording artist on Sony, Bellaphon, Fuzzy Music and his own label, DIP records. He has also been a featured guitarist and producer on over 30 CD's, for other artists. Dirk has performed and recorded with renowned artists such as Randy Brecker, Peter Erskine, Toots Thielemans, Dave Weckl, Brandon Fields, Marc Johnson, Terri Lyne Carrington, Gary Meek, Rick Braun and many others. Peter Erskine has played drums since the age of four and is known for his versatility and love of working in different musical contexts. He appears on more than 500 albums and film scores, and has won two Grammy Awards, plus an Honorary Doctorate. He's played with Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Weather Report, Steps Ahead, Jaco Pastorius, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Diana Krall, Michael Brecker, The Yellowjackets, Pat Metheny & Gary Burton, et al, and has appeared as a soloist with the London Symphony, Los Angeles, BBC and Berlin Philharmonic orchestras. Peter graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy and studied percussion with George Gaber at Indiana University.
