I'm a percussionist, singer and drummer with Elton John. I have been playing and recording with Elton for 18 years. I have learned that a good song goes forever. Melody is king, and songs about life, love and loss are always going to be popular.

As an artist I strive to make music that is pleasing to listen to. I grew up on R&B so I tend to lean that way but love a great folk song as well. And rhythm - the more drums and percussion the better! Don't be fooled I know how to keep it simple too and a little jazz thrown in keeps the music interesting. Do i fit into a perfect mold? No and I hope that is what keeps my creativity fresh. John Lennon said he didn't even listen to other records so his own music would not be jaded or influenced by hype. Then again he was a Beatle!
