Adante joined up with Seven Entertainment around 1999 featuring on 'The Experiment, Volume 1.' compilation album. Soon after she became a solo artist ; Adante, deriving from the Swahili name Adanda meaning 'the challenger') Adante isn't just a name picked in vain it is significant as it was a turning point in her life which she now uses and translates through her songs. Adante can be heard on MD7 classic album'The Power and The Glory', Yogi's albums 'Jamaican Child' and 'Bear Necessities'. Not forgetting Baby J’s 'FTP' compilation and also the Underworld Mixtapes. She then joined up with Saliviaville Music Group some years later and some amazing collaborations with many of the artists including Sic’Nis, MDR and MC Alaska. Her musical influences are too many to mention but are artist such as Anita Baker, Randy Crawford, Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Marvin Gaye, Mary J Blige, Keisha Cole, Teedra Moses, Dwele, Slum Village, Common, Gill Scott, Indie Arie, Eric Roberson and many more. 2012 Adante took part in the Beautiful Birmingham Project at the town Hall as well as the 50th anniversary Jamaican Independence Day in Victoria Square and also Word Sound Power with the Drum to promote Black History. 2013 Adante gave an appearance at the Simmer Down Festival and Birmingham Carnival promoting the amazing single ‘Where I Stand’ which she features on with artist and friend Sic’Nis. Adante is now ready to let the world know that she has something to say with the release of this EP
