简介
First the songs written by Alessandro; wonderful miniatures, each having its own story to tell. Then the musicians, compatible in their language: they take these songs and start playing them, exploring the possibilities hidden behind each tune and colouring them in their own personal way. Still paying respect to the original story. As a player there are three forces moving you on while playing this music: the structure and emotion of the tune, your inner musical intuition and the relationship you form with the musicians around you, taking its shape through the listening and interacting to each other. You are like a ball on a fountain, and when the multi-jetted fountain works well, you dance! Improvised music becomes succesful when inner and outer forces are in harmony. When all is working, music is a joy for player and listener alike. And what a joy it was to play this music! Alessandro came back to Holland (he\'d been living there from \'90 to \'99) and besides bringing wonderful material, he brought a clear musical vision. After some rehearsing, we went into the excellent Le Roy studio in Amsterdam where suond engineer Chris Weeda once again became a central figure during the process of putting this music on tape, capturing the intimacy of each instrument and moulding these inputs into a homogeneous group sound. Congratulations, Alessandro! You made a wonderful CD! Your musical world exposed in a clear and exciting way. It was a joy to be part of this project and hopefully there will be more coming up in the future. Hein van de Geyn, Scarborough, july 19, 2007.
