This album was written when Emmy Law moved alone to a house in the woods during the summer. It was her first time being away from room mates and all the noise . . . it was amazing. Strength is a common theme threaded throughout the album. The songs touch on the ways we are deceived, and the ways we can overcome those situations. The title track, "Lovely," was the winner of the John Jarrard Foundation songwriting contest in 2014.
