Steam world is inspired by the late 1800's Victorian era, the early 1900's Edwardian Era as well as the American Old west, Silent Film and the Western Industrial Revolution. A time powered primarily by steam engines.

It takes place as either an alternate reality where the Industrial Revolution left off as if the world chose to never leave the technology of that time OR it takes place in a post apocalyptic time after all technologies combined with the wackiness and geed of mankind climaxed into the last great war. A war that destroyed ALMOST everyone, leaving a small fraction of all the peoples and cultures of the earth alive to carry on into the unknown future, but only using free energies available to anyone that power this new world like steam power, solar power and radiant energy.
