“I’ve been consistently writing songs over the past couple of years. I lusted to do it - to have a go at recording some of my tunes. It was on my bucket list. Each time I’d go to do it though, I’d procrastinate and stall... In the process of creating this CD, I’ve had to remind myself that learning is about the journey and not perfection alone. In fact it is better to take some steps – however small - instead of doing nothing at all. Launching my debut CD is a celebration of this process - moving beyond what I knew before to what I know now to stand tall and share my work appreciating the experience and knowing the effort that has gone into it. Recording this album at Grumpy Old Man Studio with Terry Doyle, I acknowledge Terry’s effort, commitment and professionalism throughout the whole process. Terry has been a great mentor and his staunch support for original music here in the North Queensland region is notable. The CD has tunes that relate to a common theme - ‘time’. Bass guitar and keyboard tracks added by Chris Ellis and flute by Morag Gane to the song “Fly like a Bird” add a nice touch to the album without steering it away from its original intent. No more waiting or procrastinating – “It’s About TIME” is released. “
