简介
Produced by the award-winning legend John Carter Cash at the historical Cash Cabin studio, Country Blues artist Kasey Lansdale is making her debut with her first studio album, “Restless.” Slated for an August 20 release, the album will feature 11 tracks that showcase Kasey's voluptuous vocals in fierce female fight songs such as “Sorry Ain’t Enough” and “Hard to be a Lady.” -A Texas native from Nacogdoches, Lansdale was born with music in her blood. She grew up with music-loving parents who introduced her to everything from rock and classical music to motown and country music at a very young age and an uncle who was in the Sun Records recording group, The Daletones, which she later named her first band after. -With early childhood memories of singing to Reba’s Greatest Hits and listening to the Contours’ “Do You Love Me” with her father, music became her first love and she began writing her own music at the tender age of seven. -Lansdale wrote 7 number of songs on the album, but she isn’t just a talented songwriter, she is also a creative writer who at the age of eight wrote her first short story that was published by Random House. -She went on to edit her first anthology, Impossible Monsters, that will be released this summer and just completed her first novel. Mulholland Publishing also just released a novel that includes Lansdale’s original song, “Edge of Dark Water,” as a digital download. -Her music will also be featured in the new film, “Cold in July,” starring award-winning actor, Michael C. Hall from the Showtime hit series, Dexter and in “Christmas with the Dead,” where she also made her first big screen debut. -Since playing her first gig at Banita Creek Hall in Nacogdoches at the age of 18, Lansdale has gone on to perform at large events such as the Piacenza Blues Festival in Italy for the past 8 years.
