The SymphoNYChorus is a faith-based community of vocalists and instrumentalists committed to sharing the message of God's love with musical creativity, passion, and excellence. The SymphoNYChorus was founded by Henric Idestrom in 2009 after he came to us from the Rocky Mountain College, where he was the Chair of the Arts for eight years. We have grown tremendously over the years, from six attendees at the first rehearsal to thirty-five singers and fifteen instrumentalists. TSC members are volunteers committed to professional excellence with members from across NYC and the surrounding tri-state area. TSC performs music that spans genres - gospel, contemporary, classical, Broadway, spirituals, to name a few - and has recorded three albums. TSC conducts two major productions a year, one at Christmas and a themed concert in the spring, while performing regionally once or twice a month.
