James' style can only be described as 'unique'. A mixture of indie, blues, jazz, and rock influences, his powerhouse voice gives flight to his songs and forms not only soundscapes and melodies but memories and emotion. James is the winner of the 2013 Acorn Theater singer/songwriter competition, judged by Jim Peterik of Ides of March and Survivor fame. David Fink, owner of the Acorn Theater, has this to say: "James' voice is strong and expressive, with an impressive range. Also a gifted songwriter, his music moved our audience making everyone feel that they had just discovered the next great musical talent." James has been a songwriter since the age of 17 and has spent the greater part of his life since then refining his craft and striving to create meaningful, powerful music. He hopes to continue honing his songwriting abilities and performing for audiences everywhere.
