Orlando's intricate arrangements and the captivating and at times haunting melodies have drawn top musicians to record this album - Jeff Ballard, Perico Sambeat, Gary Willis, Gergo Borlai (to name a few). Orlando says “I am very excited about this latest album. How do I describe the music? It is “jazz del sur” – jazz from the south. It shows how my Paraguay background, my exposure to Brazilian music and my time spent in Southern Europe have left an indelible mark on me. The songs are all my original composition and have intricate arrangement, with a horn section to create a rich tapestry of sounds. Which is my favourite composition on the album? That is so difficult because some have a distinct Brazilian feel, others are more modern but maintain a nice rhythm and some are energetic and groovy. I love all of them and hope the album will appeal to jazz enthusiasts as well as audience who are not frequent listeners of jazz music.”
