Mike Wallz is a music artist from Silver Spring MD who is relentlessly building his empire in Los Angeles, CA. For the majority of his life, Wallz had been a successful athlete; starting on Varsity summer leagues as freshman, a junior Olympian in track and field as a sophomore, and eventually earning a full scholarship to play football at Penn State University. While he found success in the sports arena, these achievements didn't deter him from exploring success in his other passions. Classically trained in a variety of brass instruments (tuba, baritone, & trumpet), Mike Wallz has been unlocking the keys to his music talents since the fourth grade. Once football recruiting became too demanding, he was forced to leave his high schools symphonic band & wind ensemble; and In an effort to stay close to music, Wallz linked up with twins, Steven and Stanley Spottswood, forming the hip hop group "Primary Element." Wallz and his group became a house hold name throughout many college campuses while he simultaneously balanced a life as a Division 1 student-athlete as well as an emerging star in the hip hop world. In 2012 amidst the Notorious Penn State scandal, Wallz incurred a devastating injury that resulted in the termination of his scholarship and vanished any opportunity at a professional football career. "Out of every tragedy births great triumph." Mike Wallz refocused his energy and dedicated his life to music and entertainment. Now with the release of his 2nd solo EP "The Layover," Mike Wallz is using his gifts in both music & film to inspire this and the next generation of young creative leaders, thinkers and innovators.
