Thus began his involvement in music. Unable to put melodies to the lyrics at the time, he would rap them out. One year later, he developed a relationship with guitar playing that not only increased his yearning to create music but synthesized the words in his mind and the melodies in his soul. He wasn’t only making music, he brought his unique style of music to life. When he started middle school, Rob took the initiative and joined the school choir. He made sure his guitar followed every step of the way, honing his skills during some very critical years. His influences range from Classical to Country musicians. His talents develop with each song he creates. Throughout his life, Rob has trained vocally in various styles, including Classical, Rhythm and Blues and Jazz. He’s also learned to pluck strings in Flamenco, Jazz , Rock and Rhythm and Blues styles as well. His debut album, “Memories Fall”, began as a work under major construction and was recorded numerous times before finally going into production. Rob Spencer has developed a uniquely soulful sound and boasts a bittersweet song writing talent - both of which he says has been influenced by many great musicians of the past.
