Currently supporting their first EP titled “PULL,” Thirdkind seems to be extremely comfortable in their skin. After being praised as one of the newest breakout rock bands of 2010, this New York City, based quintet makes no apologies about what and who they are. “We strive to write rock songs that as fans we would want to listen to. We always try to emphasize melodies and lyrical hooks in a simple yet, honest way… we do not try to be anything we are not,” explains guitarist/songwriter (and producer) Mark Zuppe. Thirdkind is comprised of members from various acclaimed Northeast acts whose talents combined have supported such acts as Bon Jovi, Staind, and 3 Doors Down and have graced such stages as The Izod Center, Randall’s Island, and CBGB’s. The identifying sound and energy of this act stems from the expressive vocal stylings of front man and singer, Manny Cabo. With roots in photography and the arts, Manny’s ability to captivate an audience with his one of a kind voice and charismatic persona have been drawing major attention. Supporting Manny is multi-instrumentalist and song writer Mark Zuppe, bassist Eric Berkowitz, drummer Justin Neighbour, and lead guitarist Neil Mack. “Our approach to our live show is very much the same as our approach to our writing. We want to give people their money’s worth and put on the kind of show that we would want to see from our musical heroes,” says drummer Justin Neighbour.
