I love you for sharing with me." -RW Never confined to one form of expression, Russell’s successes journey far beyond his writing and producing music for himself and other artists.The young multihyphenate served as an editor for industry champion, Jeff Rabhan’s book on music careers. He also recently completed a mini-ethnography based on fieldwork regarding non-verbal communication among band mates titled, Talk Without Talking . His writing in industry, academia, arts, and otherwise all share a refined, purposeful voice. The young artist is currently writing a book of his own in the fiction/fantasy genre. Further varying his artistic expression, Russell has trained in contemporary dance for almost a decade, allowing him to showcase his own dancing and choreography in music videos. It is this experience, in fact, which led him to serve as Artistic Director for his breakout music video, Already There (2010). He has trained classically on the piano and in the Linklater vocal discipline. A graduate of JMU (anthropology and foreign languages), Russell recently passed on an opportunity to attend NYU for graduate school (music business). Russell hopes one day to return to academia, but holds strong to his visions of creating music in the current moment. Russell currently resides in the Washington D.C. area where he spends entirely too many antisocial hours in his basement studio. He is bilingual with Spanish as a co-dominant language. He is a wordsmith with a marked proclivity for all things pedantic.
