The Axis of Awesome is The World’s Most Awesomest Comedy Band. With more than 100 million hits on Youtube and award-winning sellout international tours, they’ve performed everywhere: from the Sydney Opera House to the Gibson Amphitheater in LA; from the Edinburgh and Montreal International Comedy Festivals to the BBC’s Comic Relief Benefit; from sharing the stage with The Hoff to a military base in the Sinai Desert near the border of Egypt and Israel. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Jordan Raskopoulos, Lee Naimo and Benny Davis met while studying at the University of Sydney and performing in revues. After the name “The Axis of Awesome” was rejected by Jordan’s WoW guild as too cheesy, it was repurposed for his putative comedy rock band and the legend was born.
