Emit is a very interesting project, apparently there's one member. He's called Michael and is allegedly a member of the cult The Order of the Nine Angles, and he lives in Somerset, which is quite close to me, although I'm not sure if I'd want to bump into him. However, when I came across this EP, the main thing that piqued my interest was how demented it sounds. The EP is mostly noise, industrial effects and screaming, but the appeal of it is how blatantly dark and to-the-point it is. It's so grating on the ears in fact, that it was impossible to listen to The Dark Bleeding in one sitting. I will say this; Michael clearly wanted this release to sound ambient but torturous and extremely unsettling, and that's exactly what it is. The entire runtime is filled with trippy echoes that add to the batshit insane atmosphere, and the few parts on this EP that are actually musical are droning, plagal and abrupt. Nevertheless, I respect this release since it does what it says on the tin.
