"Jacques & The Eye Rule is a musical stand. Born out of the necessity to dig out my own blend of Rock and Funk. For a very long time I have felt a growing detachment towards the modern musical industry, increasingly getting colder and over produced. Willing to recreate the organic sound of the seventies I looked for real musicians to play on my album, whose skills be heard on tape. I wanted the groove of Quincy Jones and the feel of Neil Young. The funk of Curtis Mayfield and the rock of Eric Clapton. Inspired by Jamiroquai, Lenny Kravitz and Ben Harper who keep doing their thing; and encouraged by the enthusiasm shown by all musicians involved, I sat down to write melodies and big riffs to fill my need to groove and freak out. Here you will find big guitars, funky bases, groovy drums and old school backing girls. This on record is the best time of my life."
