Fans of traditional R&B will love “Vibin’,” a tribute to the Jackson Five, one of Burrell’s most important early influences. The infectious dance tunes, such as “Hypochondriac” and “Never Too Old,” will get everyone up on the floor. Vocalist Jeffrey Burrell’s first album, Atoozi (EMI), produced two hits, including the Top 30 dance hit “See Saw.” As a songwriter, he has published more than seventy songs, including “Sadder Than Blue,” performed by the group Az Yet, which earned him a platinum record. Jeffrey has worked with top producers such as Ron Fair, Bassy Bob Brockmann, and Babyface. His song “Calling Out Your Name” was featured in the film Queens Logic, starring Kevin Bacon. For Hypochondriac, Burrell teamed up with Dana Scofidio, a producer, veteran guitarist, and mix engineer. Jeffrey and Dana played together in a high-energy dance band called the Kash Band and reunited years later to create this new music—as if the beat never stopped.
