During a “visit” at the hospital due to an infection to my wound from 2000 cancer surgery, my roommate’s wife asked me to make a tape of some of the guitar music I was playing.  It was the first time I heard it, and I liked it.   Therefore, “Hope”, my first CD was created. As a cancer survivor, I created that CD to help raise money for cancer research, as half of the profits went to various A.C.S. projects. This CD will have the same purpose.  All the profits from the song “Campfire Blues” will go to the Rein in Sarcoma Foundation.  This organization helps in various ways in regard to the various sarcoma cancers,  which is the cancer that I have dealt with too many times.   The people who perform with me on this CD have performed with me at various concerts that have raised money for cancer research, and I thank them all, and hope there will be more music in the future. Donna Blaul plays guitar on “Hope” and “E’s Lullaby”. Stephanie Larson (her name when we recorded this), now Stephanie Kuehl sings on “The Real BLT” and“Days Are”. Brian Bethke plays guitar and sings on “Campfire Blues” and “The River”.  All songs are composed by me except for the words on “Campfire Blues” and the words and music on “The River”, which are by Brian Bethke - -thanks for that, Brian.   Finally, thanks to my wife, Maureen, for having to listen to this music all the time, and for being my rock during all this nasty cancer. This CD was recorded and produced by Brian Bethke.
