Pole Position Recordings proudly present Authentiek Recept with their latest EP 'Fancy Jazz Chords'. Authentiek Recept are long time friends Watse & Sebastiaan, two young Dutch men who formed their production outfit as a way to channel their musical influences into their music. From the opening track 'Fancy Jazz Chords' it's obvious to see their influences are far reaching. The live sax riff, catchy rhodes keys and shuffling beats giving the track a seriously funky, Jazzy feel - a sound that the boys openly admit is slightly more upbeat than their usual deeper vibe. Fellow Dutch producers L'Atelier take on remix duties and deliver a bouncy, upbeat rendition all centring around wonderfully hypnotic organ keys that gives their remix more of a classic house feel. As the EP moves on things get progressively deeper with the Authentiek Recept boys stripping back 'Fancy Jazz Chords' for a more refined Dub mix. Next up is 'High Temperature' a deep groover that is broken up beautifully by contrasting melodic, atmospheric breakdowns.
