Versetile began as a collaboration of the voices for their alma mater, Paseo Academy Of Fine & Performing Arts' 1st Annual Alumni Showcase in early 2014; the line up consisted of: Leonard Tann, Mitchell Chandler (both class of 2010), Carlton McCormick and Markis Samuels (both class of 2013); and musicians: Armond "TJ" Nelson (keys), Jordan "JB" Bryant (drums) and Brandon Butler (Bass). Although the initial reason for coming together was for the showcase, the group made the debut at Juke House's Monday night open mic, "Soul Sessions", the group was a hit. On March 14, 2014, Versetile took to the stage as the opening act for Paseo Academy's showcase, and after much positive feed back, Leonard, Mitchell, Carlton and Markis decided to make it official and remain a group. Throughout 2014, Versetile continued to perform at Soul Sessions, resulting in their first feature in October of the same year; as well as performing/ministering at many church events around Kansas City, and began working with a young musician/producer named Cordaro Booker. In January of 2015, Versetile stood proudly as they sang the National Anthem for the US Air Force, at the McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas for an awards banquet. In July of 2015, Leonard Tann parted ways with Versetile, making the group a trio. On August 28, 2015 Versetile release their first (1st) single "Damaged" on reverbnation.com; with in 2 weeks, they was number one in the local rank. Soon after, the guys began working/writing on their first project (which was released in September of the next year). Versetile stood proudly once again in October of the same year, to sing the National Anthem at the McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Versetile closed out 2015 with a holiday show, "Christmas With Versetile". 2016 marked more great moments for the trio; on September 23, 2016 Versetile released their first project, an ep entitled "the Experience". The project showcases each member in a different way. The guys are continuing to write their story... surely the best is yet to come.
