简介
Meera was a princess from Rajasthan in the 15th and early 16th century. Since her childhood she believed that Lord Krishna was her true husband and devoted her whole life worshiping him. The Album Title: "Meera" cannot be associated with just one person who existed in the past. Meera symbolizes boundless love, devotion, yearning and longing for the beloved which is timeless. Meera could be anywhere, any place, any religion, any soul. Sailee has used her voice as a medium to express these divine and ageless sentiments. The album not only uses the music from rajasthan, but also from different parts of India, Arabic and Western countries. The words are the original words written by Meera. The language is mostly Rajasthani / Braj-bhasha. In general, Devotional songs / Bhajans / Bhakti-Geet have always been composed and sung in a very traditional way. This album is a humble effort to take Bhakti Sangeet out of traditionality and give it fresh, new horizons. The compositions have been judged as most innovative, experimental compositions, providing new trend. A variety of music styles such as contemporary music, Arabic music, folk music from different parts of India, Ghazals and more have been used. Instead of the traditional Bhajan instruments such as Manjeera and Kartaal, a different variety of instruments have been used. Every song in the album has a unique flavor. Although all the songs portray Meera's love for Krishna, each of them creates a different mood and will touch you in a different way. Unlike traditional Meera Bhajans, Meera is portrayed here as a teenager lost in Krishna's love. This album brings you Meera's thirst, Radha's romance, and above all the unique blend of sweetness, zeal and mischief in Sailee's voice!
